Consent Animation – Newcastle University

This animation was commissioned by Dr. Jay Wallace, Newcastle University Sexual Violence Liason Officer, and created in collaboration with Newcastle University Students. It incorporates a mix of hand-drawn and rigged character animation in After Effects. I chose an intentionally naive style to abstract the heavy subject matter as a protective measure, and as a means to embody diversity without tokenisation. It was an absolute joy to work on this important topic with such a thoughtful team behind the scripting.
